“The Queen’s Private Capital Group Mentorship Program is one of the main highlights of my first year at Queen’s. The program allowed me to explore my interest in finance, form strong relationships, and earn a sense of belonging amongst like-minded peers. The sessions, supplemented by the weekly deal discussions and lessons learned presentations, allowed mentees to gain a strong foundational knowledge of private equity and financial markets.”
“Coming into the Commerce program at Queen’s, I had limited knowledge of finance and was quite unsure of my career path. Through QPCG’s mentorship program, not only did I discover my interest in the field, but I also built meaningful connections with upper-year students in the club. The executive team was devoted to teaching and providing an enriching experience for each mentee.”

QPCG is seeking to hire 3 interns from the commerce Class of 2027. Interns will be responsible for working with the team on a wide variety of internal and external facing projects. During the fall semester, interns will be trained through our proprietary private markets training program and be placed with several mentors to help guide them through the commerce program and cement their future career interests.
We want to hear why you are interested in joining QPCG. How can we help you grow and achieve your professional, educational, or personal goals?
How do you analyze and assess new information or points of view? Our clients expect us to form an investment opinion or recommendation.
Most work on QPCG is done through teams. Do you have past leadership or collaboration experience that you can speak to?
We don’t expect you to have any background in finance or consulting when applying, and seek to hire eager learners who want to learn about these areas
Not a problem at all! We highly recommend that all individuals apply regardless of whether they have formal knowledge of finance or the financial markets. Our internship program has an extensive education component designed to develop your understanding of finance and the private markets. We instead look for candidates who show a willingness to learn and who are motivated and driven.
Interviews are an opportunity to us to get to know you (and for you to know us). We highly recommend doing practice interviews with your friends, family, or whomever else you trust to give honest feedback. The more you practice, the less daunting an interview process can look. A few sample questions that we might ask:
The researcher program is split into two distinct sections. The first term is largely geared towards education, and ramping new team members up by having them engage in an education program with a deliverable to exec at the end of the semester. Following the completion of the first deliverable, researchers will become eligible to work on client projects in the second semester!

"I had the incredible opportunity to participate in QPCG’s Women’s Mentorship Program last year. Not only did I learn how to navigate the complexities of technical finance knowledge, but I also connected with many women who are equally as passionate about finance as I am. It was invaluable to receive mentorship from upper-year women and hear of their experiences in this industry as well."
