      About Sarah

Sarah is currently in her third year of the commerce program. During her time on QPCG, Sarah has worked extensively with private equity clients including Altas Partners and Onex Investments. Sarah is excited to be joining Apax Partners in New York as a Private Equity Summer Analyst. After her second year, Sarah completed an internship at Altas Partners’ investment team.

      Hear from past participants:

"I had the incredible opportunity to participate in QPCG’s Women’s Mentorship Program last year. Not only did I learn how to navigate the complexities of technical finance knowledge, but I also connected with many women who are equally as passionate about finance as I am. It was invaluable to receive mentorship from upper-year women and hear of their experiences in this industry as well."

      Ava Wong Commerce '25

"The QPCG Women’s Mentorship program provided me with a wonderful experience during my first year at Queen’s Commerce. Coming into the commerce program with an interest, but not a background, in finance I found the mentorship program made it comfortable to ask questions and helped me build a strong foundation. It allowed me to apply what I had learned throughout the year and connect with students on QPCG. My upper year mentor gave me insight into the amazing community QPCG fosters that I am excited to now be a part of!"

      Katie Taub Commerce '25

"Completing the Queen’s Private Capital Group Women’s Mentorship Program in my first year was formative in my decision to pursue capital markets. From developing relationships with industry mentors to learning the nuances of the field, the program provided a platform for education and openness regarding private markets. I highly urge any female-identifying first year students to apply!"

      Frequently Asked Questions

Not a problem at all! We highly recommend that all individuals apply regardless of whether they have formal knowledge of finance or the financial markets. Our internship program has an extensive education component designed to develop your understanding of finance and the private markets. We instead look for candidates who show a willingness to learn and who are motivated and driven.

Interviews are an opportunity to us to get to know you (and for you to know us). We highly recommend doing practice interviews with your friends, family, or whomever else you trust to give honest feedback. The more you practice, the less daunting an interview process can look. A few sample questions that we might ask:

      • Tell us about yourself
      • Why are you interested in this opportunity
      • Can you tell us about a time when you had to work in a challenging group environment?
      • Can you tell us about a recent world event that you’ve been following?

The researcher program is split into two distinct sections. The first term is largely geared towards education, and ramping new team members up by having them engage in an education program with a deliverable to exec at the end of the semester. Following the completion of the first deliverable, researchers will become eligible to work on client projects in the second semester!
